Finland/Russia Prevail on Opening Day of Rosno Cup

Team Finland scored a dramatic come from behind shootout victory today to defeat the Czech Republic 3-2 in their opening match of the Rosno Cup. Netminder Fredrik Norrena stopped 25 of 27 shots faced before defeating former Togliatti goaltender Adam Svoboda in penalty shots. Meanwhile, home team Russia defeated Team Sweden 3-1. Anton But, who played the game as a third line right winger, was on the ice in the final minute and potted an empty net goal with 35 seconds left to seal the win. For Sweden, Andreas Holmqvist played on the team's 4th pairing while Djurgardens forward Jimmie Olvestad played third line left wing. Both were scoreless with 2 penalty minutes on the game.
