Note: this thread contains spoilers. If you're going to watch the game on tape delay on OLN tomorrow night and don't want to know the score, do not continue on. At the end of the first period the score is 2-2. Boutin allowed a pair of goals but the American team answered with a couple of their own late in the first period to knot the game up. Boutin's first goal allowed was on a 3-on-1 where he was beaten high stick side. Certainly not one he can be faulted for. The second came on a shot from the left wing circles toward the middle of the ice that also beat him cleanly high stick side, and Boutin probably wanted that one back. I thought Boutin was fighting the puck a little bit and playing a bit deep in his net, but he didn't have to face many scoring chances in the first 10 minutes so he was pretty cold when the chances finally did come. Andy Franck into the game for the second period, so Boutin's night is over. The National team ended up defeating the American Conference 7-6. Jonathan Boutin stopped 8 of 10 shots faced in the period he played.
