Lundin Injury Update

University of Maine defenseman Mike Lundin recently missed the better part of four games due to an injury suffered when he was slashed on the right hand vs. Merrimack. The tip of Lundin's little finger was nearly sliced completely off and doctors at the game had to re-attach it. He also suffered a broken bone in his finger in the incident. Yesterday Lundin told the Bangor News that the finger is healing nicely as he gets ready for the team's Frozen Four match-up against Wisconsin. "It feels a lot better now," he said. "I can move it around. Before, when I'd move it around, I felt a tug, and I didn't want that to happen because it could damage it." Lundin has two goals a 15 points in 35 games this season. The junior is Maine's second leading scorer among defensemen after sophomore Bret Tyler's 23 points.
