AHL Game Night 11/22: Pirates at Falcons

All hail Karri Ramo.

Karri Ramo won his third straight shootout decision to advance his record to 7-3-0 on the year stopping 30 of 32 shots faced in regulation and overtime before stopping 4 of 5 penalty shots in the shootout. Falcons goals were scored unassisted by David Spina, shorthanded, and Dan Cavanaugh. Adam Henrich and Daniel Corso scored the winning markers in the shootout as Henrich was given the privilige/responsibility by Coach Stirling to shoot first for the Falcons. Spina and Cavanaugh were the first and third stars of the game respectively.

With the win, Springfield pulls into Thanksgiving at 9-9-0, good for 18 points and 6th in the 7th team Atlantic Division just 1 point behind Bridgeport and Worcester for 8th in the Eastern Conference.

Wednesday's Superleague Scores

Denis Kazionov did not play in Tver's 2-0 loss to Novosibirsk. Kazionov has been named to Russia's team for the annual CHL-Russia Challenge.

Albert Vishnyakov was scoreless in Dynamo's 4-3 loss to Novokuznetsk.

CHL Game Night: 11/22

Marek Bartanus had a goal and was -1 in Owen Sound's 8-4 thumping of Oshawa. He also had a double-minor for spearing. The Attack spotted the Generals a 4-0 lead, then scored 8 straight. The goal was Bartanus' fourth in 21 games this year. Last year, the winger had 7 goals in 49 games.

Dane Crowley and Swift Current shutout Portland 3-0. Crowley had an assist, two minor penalties, was even, and was named the game's Third Star.

CHL Game Night: 11/21

Vladimir Mihalik was +2 in Prince George's 3-0 shutout victory against Regina. Mihalik's +/- now moves to the positive side of the ledger at +1 now after being in the minus overall since October 1st of this year.

NCAA Game Night: 11/21

John Wessbecker was scoreless with 2 PIM and an even rating in UMASS' 3-0 loss to Vermont.

Vermont defensemen, Art Femenella missed his 4th straight game due to injury.
