Hagglund Transfers to Leksands

Eurohockey.net [url=http://www.eurohockey.net/transfers/transfers.html?nationality=&country=&lastname=&days=183]reports 2000 4th round pick Johan Hagglund has transferred from IK Oskarshamn of the Allsvenskan to Leksands which will be demoted to the Allsvenskan next season.[/url] Reports indicate all non-Russian Europeans drafted in the 2002 Entry Draft and prior must be signed by this summer to retain their rights, so it is unlikely Hagglund will be a Lightning property much longer. The C/LW had 10 goals and 21 points in 41 games with Oskarshamn this season.

[b]WHL[/b] [url=blair-jones]Blair Jones[/url] had 1 goal and 1 assist, but Moose Jaw still fell to Vancouver 7-5 as Columbus Blue Jackets 2005 first round pick Gilbert Brule scored 3 goals and added 3 assists for the Giants. The Warriors now trail in the series 2-0.

World Championships Day Two

In a major upset today, Belarus knocked off Slovakia 2-1. Martin Cibak had 2 penalty minutes and 1 shot on goal for the Slovaks. Timo Helbling was scoreless in Switzerland's 3-1 victory over Italy. Andreas Holmqvist was scoreless with 2 shots on goal in Sweden's 4-2 win over Ukraine.

TSN/ISS Top 30 2006 NHL Entry Draft Prospects

ISS, in conjunction with TSN, [url=http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/feature/?fid=10631]have posted their Top-30 skaters and Top-10 goaltenders for the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.[/url] Erik Johnson of the USNTDP claims their top spot in agreement with NHL Central Scouting's rankings. The Lightning will pick 15th in the draft.
