Yes, that Shane Willis. Shane Willis, playing in his fifth game with Linkopings since transferring from HC Davos of the Swiss league, had his first Elitserien point assisting on a Jonas Soling game winning third period goal as Linkopings defeated Sodertalje 5-2. Defenseman Andreas Holmqvist also notched an assist on the goal. Goaltender Fredrik Norrena got the day off. With just one game remaining on the Elitserien schedule, Linkopings sits locked at the third seed in the league. Jimmie Olvestad and Djurgardens are well out of the playoff chase in tenth.

Johnstown is getting red hot at just the right time and with Toledo expending over half of their games in hand, the #3 seed in the North Division is a target that appears hittable. JHN-6 REA-2 Morgan Cey made 36 saves on 38 shots faced for the win. John Toffey, Brandon Elliot and Zbynek Hrdel all had goals for the Chiefs. Justin Kelly and Doug Andress each had a goal and an assist while JB Bittner had two assists. Toledo killed Trenton 8-2 tonight to maintain a 6 point gap on Johnstown for 3rd in the division with 3 games in hand. Wheeling, which sits in 2nd place, picked up a point tonight in an overtime loss and sits 8 points ahead of the Chiefs with 2 games in hand. If the Chiefs can stay hot, they've got a chance to catch these clubs. Game sheet from ECHL.com.
