Jonathan Boutin gave the team every opportunity to win in his first start of the year.
Boutin stopped 36 of 38 shots faced in the game before being pulled for the extra attacker when Cincinatti sealed it with an empty net goal. The Chiefs were outshot a mind boggling 33-10 through two periods but Boutin held the game at 1-1 until the Cyclones finally broke through with just 1 second left in the second period. John Adams scored the lone Johnstown goal on the power play off assists from Maxime Boisclair and Jean Desrochers. For the first time in their young professional careers Radek Smolenak and Stan Lascek were held off the scoresheet for Johnstown. Adams and Boisclair were named the game's second and third stars respectively. Word on the street is that Boutin may be recalled to Springfield as early as tomorrow.
