I apologize to all who tried to access the site over the last 36 hours while we were down. Last I heard from Tim, we were having some hardware issues in Bolt Prospects Tower, Nashville. So what'd we miss in the mean time?
-The Lightning took a road loss in Ottawa 4-2 [2] in a game where I thought they played a decent road game for 45 minutes only to come unraveled at the end.
-Zbynek Hrdel [3] was recalled by the Falcons [4] from Johnstown after Adam Henrich [5] was benched for two periods in Springfield's Wednesday victory over Albany. In other news from Johnstown, Mike Egener [6] was slated to play in Friday's game against Trenton after leaving the previous game against Toledo with an undisclosed injury.
-Vasily Koshechkin [7] notched another shutout Friday with a 2-0 victory over Dynamo, his 6th of the season. The shutout was Koshechkin's 6th in 9 games and improved his record to 7-2-1 since becoming the starter for Lada Togliatti.
-Springfield defeated Wilkes-Barrie/Scranton 4-3 [8] on the strength of a Doug O'Brien [9] overtime winning goal. Marek Kvapil [10] had 2 assists in the contest and Gerald Coleman [11] stopped 37 of 40 for the win.
-The Johnstown Chiefs are still looking for their first victory of the season after dropping a shootout loss in Trenton 3-2. [12]
