At least they got a point out of it...
TB-3
WSH-4 (SO)
There's no good way to blow a two goal third period lead and Sean Burke wears the goat horns in my books for Ovechkin's tying goal. The young man will be given a lot of plaudits for the play he made, but in my opinion there's absolutely no reason for Burke to allow a short side backhand goal from that angle. None. In past games there was a lack of timely goal scoring. I lay blame for the lack of that timely save tonight.
Among the rookies, Paul Ranger [3]'s ice time slowly continues to creep upward. Tonight he once again broke the 18 minute mark and was even with 2 shots on goal and 2 shots blocked. I thought he was very good tonight. Evgeny Artyukhin [4] finished with a minus as he was on the ice for Ovechkin's game tying goal. In 9:22 of ice time they only credited him with 2 hits. He seemed more active to me.
