Canada West is through to the semifinals after getting the winning goal early in the third period to defeat Sweden. O’Donnell had the primary assist on West’s second goal, scored on the power play. West will now face top-seeded USA and Lightning prospect Jimmy Mullin [9]. Switzerland will play Canada East in the other semifinal.

Beukeboom’s two game point streak came to an end. The Lightning 2010 second rounder was on the ice for both Petes goals. Beukeboom will play for Team OHL in the Canada-Russia Subway Super Series’ fourth game. In Game 3, OHL defeated Russia 4-0 last night. Russia beat the Q twice before moving to the OHL portion of their schedule.
