The Tampa Bay Lightning have confirmed via Twitter that the organization has acquired pending restricted free agent defenseman Bruno Gervais [4] from the New York Islanders for future considerations.
Gervais, a puck-moving blueliner, has scored 9 goals and added 59 assists in 331 games for the Islander organization. He was a 2003 6th round pick for Isles, and looks to be a possible replacement for unrestricted free agent defensemen Marc-Andre Bergeron [5].
