Florida scored the game’s first five goals en route to a big road win in New Jersey. The only hiccup the ‘Blades had was when new Lightning prospect Sebastien Piche (pictured), obtained from the Red Wings in the Kyle Quincey/Steve Downie [10] trade, received a major penalty for boarding and the Titans scored twice on that power play. Joe Palmer, recently acquired by Florida for goaltending help after Bolt prospect Pat Nagle [11] was recalled to Norfolk, got his first win for Florida by stopping 24 of 26 shots. Palmer is a former Blackhawks fourth rounder and Ohio State Buckeye. Florida is in sole possession of seventh place in the East now, two points up on Cincinnati.
