2010-2011:
Entered his 4th and final season in the Rapperswil system in his native Switzerland. Spent the bulk of the year dominating the U20 ranks, scoring 11 goals and 43 points in 28 games. Appeared for Switzerland at the U18 World Junior Championships, scoring 4 goals and 5 points in 6 games. Ranked the #65 European skater by NHL Central Scouting Service but went undrafted. Later selected in the 1st round, 28th overall by the Guelph Storm of the OHL in the 2011 CHL Import Draft.
2011-2012:
Moved to North America and scored 13 goals and 48 points in 43 games for Guelph despite being hampered by nagging injuries for most of the season. Had 2 goals and 4 points for Switzerland in the U20 World Junior Championships. Ranked the #41 North American skater by the NHL Central Scouting Service and was selected in the 3rd round, 71st overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning.
