Jimmy Mullin had his first multi-point game of the year with a goal and an assist in Miami’s second win in as many nights over the Nanooks. Mullin’s assist came when he fed a teammate from behind the net and another teammate banged in that rebound. His goal came on a breakaway in which he went 5-hole on the Alaska-Fairbanks goaltender. Miami freshman goalie Ryan McKay had the shutout for the RedHawks. McKay is the former goaltending partner of Lightning prospect Adam Wilcox. The two were together in USHL Green Bay before the Gamblers decided to keep McKay and trade Wilcox.

Matthew Peca (pictured) scored shorthanded in the third period while RPI was on a 5-on-3 power play to give the Bobcats a 2-1 lead. It turned out to be the game-winning goal and Quinnipiac remained unbeaten in ECAC play (6-0).

The Sioux badly outshot the Tigers for the second night in a row, but this time they came away with a victory – albeit in overtime. UND had 42 shots to CC’s 20. The game-winning goal was scored by Drake Caggiula (2013), his fifth of the season.

After his 6-game win streak was snapped on Friday night against UNO, Adam Wilcox got some revenge on the Mavericks with a 3-2 win on Saturday night. Wilcox made several big saves in the second period after the Gophers went up, 3-0. UNO scored late in the second and again late in the third period to make things interesting.

The Broncos completed a weekend sweep of the Wildcats with a 1-0 victory on Saturday. WMU goaltender Frank Slubowski (undrafted) got the shutout.
