Powell River Kings 4 @ Victoria Grizzlies 5 (OT)
W Justin Courtnall, VIC: 1-0-1, 2 PIM (interference)
Courtnall scored his 17th goal of the year in the second period to give Victoria a temporary 2-1 lead.
Lethbridge Hurricanes 7 @ Edmonton Oil Kings 0
C Mitch Fadden, LET: 0-2-2, +2, 2 PIM (unsportsmanlike conduct)
One of Fadden’s assists came when his shot hit the post and a teammate put in the rebound. Lethbridge has been on fire offensively lately, but have been doing so without giant contributions by their big line of Fadden-Boychuk-Sceviour.
Never a dull moment.
Johan Holmqvist allowed 4 goals on 25 shots for the win.
Tampa Bay 4:25, Jason Ward 6 (Mathieu Darche, Filip Kuba)
Tampa Bay 7:13, Paul Ranger 10 (Craig MacDonald)
Tampa Bay 14:55, Nick Tarnasky 5 (Martin St. Louis, Vincent Lecavalier)
St. Louis 15:04, Jamal Mayers 8 (Jay McClement, Lee Stempniak)
St. Louis 19:37, David Perron 10 (Paul Kariya, Eric Brewer)
The only team I know that can build a three goal lead with 5:05 left in the game and it's still not completely safe. Have mercy.
Ryan Munce stopped 26 shots as the Sea Wolves defeated the Columbia Inferno 4-2 Saturday night. Munce was named the game's Third Star capping his 13th win on the season. The Sea Wolves, down 1-0 after the 1st, score three 2nd period goals. Mississippi's top line of Marek Kvapil, Ryan Menai, and Jason Tejchma continues to produce as they started the scoring 3:26 into the 2nd frame.
Karri Ramo stopped 29 of 32 shots in the loss getting outdueled by Tomas Vokoun who stood on his head stopping 44 shots.
Florida 3:00, Jay Bouwmeester 10 (Nathan Horton, David Booth)
Florida 14:04, Olli Jokinen 25 (power play) (Jay Bouwmeester, Nathan Horton)
Florida 18:55, Richard Zednik 10 (Jassen Cullimore, Kamil Kreps)
That was probably the season. The Lightning lose a 4 point game in the division when they were already hanging on by a fingernail. The question now is not whether the Lightning will be sellers. The question is how much will be sold. There's little doubt in my mind guys like Prospal, Gratton, and probably one out of Kuba and Lukowich will be moving. The big question now is Dan Boyle.
