Dimitri Kazionov did not play in Kazan's 3-2 win over Khimik. It was the third game the elder Kazionov has missed this season. Dimitri's brother Denis, also a Lightning prospect, plays for Superleague club Tver.

Defenseman Andreas Holmqvist registered two assists today as Linkopings blasted Mora IK 7-2 in Elitserien play. Holmqvist now has 5 goals and 15 points in 33 games this season. Last season Holmqvist posted 6 goals and 22 points in 46 games.

WJC Game Day 1/5: Slovakia vs. Belarus

Slovakia finished their 2007 World Junior Championships experience with a win - their first and only win of the tournament - when they crushed Belarus today 9-0 in the final game of the relegation round. Slovakia finished 0-4 in round robin play and had lost to Switzerland earlier this week in their first relegation round game.

Lightning prospect Marek Bartanus scored a power play goal in the game and both Bartanus and Vladimir Mihalik registered minor penalties.

Bartanus, a winger, finished the round robin and relegation rounds tied for third in team scoring with a goal and two assists. He also had a minus-one rating, eight penalty minutes, and 11 shots on goal.

Mihalik, a defenseman, registered one goal, six shots, four penalty minutes, and tied for the team lead with a plus-one rating.
