Friday night's highlights:
- Fadden vs. Jung
- A WHL first for Helenius
- Future Bolt starring for Everett not named "Crowley"? (video)
Struggling blueliner Andy Rogers makes a statement of his own last night in his Mississippi debut by tallying a power play blast from the point at 10:32 of the third period. Rogers' marker gave the Wolves their first lead of the game as the team battled back from a 3-0 1st period deficit to win their second consecutive road game. Zbynek Hrdel began Mississippi's comeback scoring the Wolves first goal at 14:34 of the first period.
The Sea Wolves peppered the Inferno with a season-high 45 shots, including 5 from Rogers.
Bolt Prospects' #1 rated prospect in the organization, Karri Ramo, made a statement in his second game back from injury stopping 38 of 39 shots for the win. The Admirals were outshot 39-17 in the game, but Ramo was simply too much for Philly earning first star of the game honors.
NOR Keller, (4) (Wanvig, Henrich), 10:56
PHI Potulny, (9) (Ross, Ruzicka), 13:45 (PP)
NOR Jones, (6) (Stewart, Milley), 6:54
Ramo and Blair Jones were first and second stars of the game, respectively.
The kind of resiliency it takes to go from getting severely roughed up in the third period of the game against Binghamton (his first back from the high ankle sprain) to going out and almost single-handedly beating the best team in the division is, in a word, special. Let the pool for when Ramo gets recalled and makes his first NHL start giving Holmqvist a well earned night off begin. I have next Saturday, December 15th, against the Caps.
