Despite managing just sixteen shots on goal for the game, Brynas, led by Simon Enterfeldt (2 G) built up a commanding 3-0 lead heading into the third period and cruised in the final frame for a win Sunday against Vaxjo. Former Lightning goaltender Johan Holmqvist stopped all but one of Lulea's twenty-five shots-on-goal and got within striking distance of posting a shutout before surrendering a goal with about seven minutes remaining in regulation. Johan Harju earned a secondary assist Brynas' first goal, an even-strength strike by Enterfeldt just several minutes into the match. Brynas (14-9-4-7, 57 PTS) returns to the road Saturday to face Vaxjo (9-17-6-3, 42 PTS), a team that has lost on each of the seven previous occasions the two clubs have played each other.

Brynas fell on the road after Farjestad's Chris Lee broke a 2-2 tie late in the third period. Johan Holmqvist, making his second-straight start, was charged with a loss again, this time stopping thirteen of just sixteen shots on goal. After going scoreless for a few games, Johan Harju registered a primary assist on Simon Lof's even-strength goal with about ten minutes remaining in regulation. On the play, Harju wheeled out of the corner with the puck and found Lof, a defenseman, above the circles for an open look and Lof fired a snap-shot that found the net through traffic. Brynas (13-9-4-7, 54 PTS) returns home to take on Lulea (15-8-6-5, 62 PTS) on Sunday.

Martin Johansson added an empty-netter in the closing minute of regulation. With the league now beginning a lengthy break, Brynas (13-9-4-6, 53 PTS) isn't slated to return to action until Wednesday, December 26th for a road match against HV 71 (16-8-5-2, 60 PTS), currently a co-leader in the standings.

Former NHL netminder Martin Gerber took the loss for Rogles. Brynas (12-9-4-6, 50 PTS) will next face Timra (7-16-5-3, 34 PTS), a team it has beat the last four times the two clubs have played and eleven-straight from the cozy confines of home, on Saturday.

Brynas built up a commanding 4-1 lead in the second period before it ended with Skelleftea trailing by just a goal but Brynas clung to the lead in the third and Sebastian Enterfeldt scored an empty netter to complete an entertaining road victory. Detroit Red Wings prospect Calle Jarnkrok scored twice scored twice for Brynas. Lightning overager Johan Harju opened the scoring roughly halfway through the first when, after pulling off a toe-drag at the side off the opposing net, he attempted a pass that banked off a skate near the top of the crease, on net and back out front where Harju calmly collected the puck and wristed it high and in. Brynas (12-9-3-6, 48 PTS) returns home to face league bottom-feeder Rogle (6-20-1-2, 22 PTS), which has lost each of the last five games it has played at Lakerol Arena, on Thursday.
