Fran Sypek speculates that with Brady Greco being sent down to Johnstown of the ECHL that defenseman Todd Rohloff is likely close to returning to the lineup for the Falcons.ff was injured in Springfield's season opener when a hit from behind led to an awkward legs first spill into the end boards. Greco will be a welcome addition to a Johnstown club that is in need of a competent puckmoving defenseman. Evgeny Artyukhin and Nick Tarnasky are slated to be recalled tomorrow for the Lightning's game against the New Jersey Devils. They could be joined in the lineup by defenseman Paul Ranger who returned to practice Monday after suffering a hairline jaw fracture and a concussion at the point of Eric Boulton's elbow in Atlanta.

What an ugly night for our two farm teams. PRO-8 SPR-2 Post mortem can be found at TheAHL.com. I doubt Gerald Coleman saw many nights like these in London.

The Atlantic Division will be in trouble if the Falcons ever learn to protect a late lead. HFD-3 SPR-4 (Final OT) Jim Campbell, who scored the OT power play game winner, got the first star of the game. Jason Jaspers, who had 2G 1A, was the second star. Ryan Craig, who had 1G 1A, was the third star. Brian Eklund made 30 saves on 33 shots for the victory. Adam Henrich emerged from the doghouse for an assist tonight. Darren Reid grabs an assist on each of Jaspers' goal. Game sheet can be found via TheAHL.com.

The domino effect of Evgeny Artyukhin and Nick Tarnasky's callup to Tampa reached Johnstown as winger Dennis Packard has been recalled to Springfield of the AHL. Packard, who had a goal and the clinching shootout talley in Johnstown's last exhibition game, will be available when the Falcons play Hartford at home Friday night. Also recalled to Springfield was C Justin Kelly. Kelly had 65 points in 57 games last season with Adirondack of the UHL. Update: Mastovich says that Kelly is currently injured. It will be interesting to see Springfield's lineup this weekend.

Gerald Coleman is making his professional debut tonight while the Falcons try to stay unbeaten on the season. Adam Henrich again a scratch. SPR-2 MAN-3 (Final OT) Game sheet can be found from theahl.com. My goodness, Manchester's radio guy sounds like a game show host. Furious last 5-6 minutes as Artyukhin scores the go ahead goal only to see Tukonen tie it up with 0:56 left with the extra attacker. Manchester wins it in OT. Springfield falls to 2-0-1-0. Coleman stops 32 of 35 in his professional debut. Evgeny Artyukhin named the game's third star.
