Defensemen Mike Lundin was scoreless with a -1 rating in Maine's 4-3 OT loss to Boston College.

Boston College goalie and Lightning prospect, Joe Pearce backed up staring netminder Cory Schneider, a product of Vancouver. Pearce has seen limited action behind Schneider, playing in only an early season loss to Notre Dame.

Defensemen, Mike Lundin had two assists in #1 Maine's 8-2 loss to #13 New Hampshire. Both helpers came on the PP in the second period. He also had 3 shots in the game and finished -2.

It was the Black Bears first loss of the season, they move to 8-1-1 overall and 3-1-1 in the HEAST.

Defensemen, Art Femenella was a healthy scratch in Vermont's 4-2 win over Providence.

Mike Lundin had an assist in #1 Maine's 2-2 tie against #8 Boston University. It was Lundin's 3rd assist of the season, and 5th point. He finished a +1 with 3 shots in the game.

Art Femenella was even with 1 shot on goal in Vermont's 1-0 loss to #3 Boston College. The senior defensemen has 1 goal and no assists to go along with 16 PIM in 5 games this season for the Catamounts. Vermont is 2-4-1 overall and 0-1-1 in the HEAST.

Dusty Collins went scoreless with 2 PIM in Northern Michigan's 4-2 upset over #4 Miami-Ohio. The Wildcats moved to 2-2-0 in the CCHA.

UMASS completed the weekend sweep of Providence beating the Friars 3-2.

Mike Lundin's second period PPG was proven the game winner as the undefeated #1 Maine Black Bears beat Merrimack 4-1. It was Lundin's second goal of the season, his previous was also on the PP. Maine is 7-0-0 for the season and 2-0-0 in the HEAST.

Sophomore defensemen, John Wessbecker was even with 2 shots in Massachusetts' 4-1 win over Providence. Wessbecker has played in 4 of the Minutemen's 5 games this season. He has no points, is -2 with 2 PIM.

Senior Dusty Collins was even in Northern Michigan's 5-1 loss to #4 Miami. The Wildcats fell to 4-4-1 overall and 1-2-0 in the CCHA. In 9 GP, Collins has 1 goal and 1 assist for 2 points, is -2 and 6 PIM.

Maine Moves to No.1 in Polls

The University of Maine Black Bears and senior assistant captain Mike Lundin, fresh off their road sweep of traditional powerhouse North Dakota, are now No.1 in both US College Hockey polls. Maine is 5-0 on the year and received 34 of 40 first place votes in the USCHO.com/CSTV Division I men's poll and 31 of 34 in the USA Today/America Hockey poll. The Bears moved up from No.4 in both polls last week. Lundin, a 2004 4th round pick, has 1 goal and 2 assists on the year. The defenseman is receiving quality ice time this year as you'd expect from a senior and is a fixture on the power play. He had 3 goals and 13 assists as a junior.
