Vasily Koshechkin got the day off as Mike Fountain backstopped Togliatti to a 2-1 win over Chekhov. So far this season, Koshechkin has gotten the benefit of Fountain's experience but still retained the lion's share of Lada's starts, so it's seemingly been a win-win situation thus far.

Evgeny Artyukhin was scoreless in Yaroslavl's 5-2 win over SKA. He did, however, manage to run his penalty minute total to 70 in 14 games. Anton But was scoreless for St. Petersburg in the loss.

Denis Kazionov was scoreless in Tver's 6-5 loss to Omsk. The 2006 7th round pick is still looking for his first point of the season.
