Back-to-back...

ECHL Game Day 2/18: Titans at Chiefs

Adam Henrich is on fire.

TRE-2
JHN-3

Morgan Cey stopped 29 of 31 shots faced for the victory. [url=adam-Henrich once again led the way offensively with a pair of goals. Jean Desrochers had the game winning goal and individual helpers belonged to Ian MacLean, Maxime Boisclair, Zbynek Hrdel, Andrew Martens and PJ Atherton. Henrich, Desrochers and Cey were the game's three stars.

In six games since being returned to Johnstown from Springfield of the AHL, Henrich has 7 goals, 12 points and a +7 rating. Given the Falcons' offensive woes, at some point Henrich is probably going to earn another recall soon.

Bolt Prospects Prospect of the Week: 2/5-2/11

This was a difficult decision with Maine senior Mike Lundin having such a great week (2 GP, 2-1-3). However, this week's winner proved that perserverance pays off...

ECHL Game Day 2/11: Royals at Chiefs

No matter what the fate of the Chiefs is off the ice and in the financial ledger, Johnstown is absolutely kicking some tail right now.

REA-2
JHN-5

Ryan Munce stopped 24 of 26 shots faced for the win, his first in a Chiefs jersey. Johnstown's 5 goal third period was ignited by a thermonuclear 2 goal 2 assist effort by Adam Henrich, who is apparently POed that I wrote him off earlier this week. Memo to self: write off Marek Kvapil next week. Johnstown's other goals came from Maxime Boisclair, Gus Katsuras and Randy Rowe. Katsuras' goal was an auspicious reintroduction to the team after missing two months due to injury. Have mercy, the Chiefs are reloading for the stretch run. Bryan Nathe, Ryan Gibbons, Geoff Waugh, Grant Jacobsen, John Adams and Andrew Martens added individual helpers. Don't look now, but big Ryan Gibbons is riding a four game scoring streak. Henrich, Katsuras and Rowe were named the game's three stars.

Johnstown moves to within 1 point of 4th place Toledo as they burn a trail back into the playoff hunt.

ECHL Game Night 2/10: Nailers at Chiefs

.500 and moving on up.

WHE-2
JHN-5

Morgan Cey, who has been awesome this year, stopped 39 of 41 shots faced for the win. The Chiefs were paced by veteran Jean Desrochers' 2 goals and Randy Rowe's 2 assists. Johnstown got their other goals from Eric Przepiorka (who in my mind has shaped up to be a keeper), Adam Henrich and John Adams. PJ Atherton, Ryan Gibbons, Maxime Boisclair, Dimitri Tarabrin and Geoff Waugh had individual helpers. Cey, Desrochers and Henrich were the game's three stars. Johnstown was actually outshot 41-21 in the contest.

The victory moves Johnstown back to .500 for the season at 20-20-4, 3 points back of 4th place Toledo.

Johnstown, PA (February 8, 2007) – The Johnstown Chiefs on Thursday announced that forward Brandon Elliott and defenseman Doug Andress have been recalled to the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League, and that Adam Henrich has been reassigned from Springfield to Johnstown.

AHL Game Day 2/4: Falcons at Senators

It's a shame the Falcons couldn't quite get that second point to salvage more out of this weekend.

SPR-2
BNG-3 (SO)

Karri Ramo stopped 43 of 45 shots faced in the loss. Sylvain Dufresne had two assists in the game with Springfield's goals coming from Marek Kvapil and Eric Healey. Adam Henrich and Norm Milley added individual assists. Justin Keller failed to capitalize on a 2nd period penalty shot opportunity and former Falcon Ryan Vesce scored twice in the shootout for Binghampton who emerged triumphant 2-1 in the penalty shots in six frames. Ramo and Healey were named first and third stars respectively.

Prospects Page Updated

As a consequence of today's trade with Atlanta which moved Bolt Prospects' #23 ranked prospect, Andre Deveaux, out of the organization, Bolt Prospects would like to announce an update of our Midterm Rankings and the prospect page. Deveaux's subtraction moves the #24 and #25 ranked prospects, Denis Kazionov and Marek Bartanus, up one slot in the rankings. Adam Henrich will now move into the top-25 at the #25 spot.

In addition, Stephen Baby's name has been added to the prospect page as an overage prospect. Baby, who turned 27 yesterday, is well over the 24 year old on opening night requirement to qualify as a regular prospect.

Kyle Wanvig, by virtue of the 51 games he played with the Minnesota Wild in 2005-2006, is considered graduated by Bolt Prospects criteria and will not be added to the prospects page. Any prospect who plays 41 or more games in a single season is considered a graduate by site rules.

AHL Game Night 1/26: Devils at Falcons

It makes me sick to my stomach to see the Falcons blow a 3-0 lead.

LOW-5
SPR-3

Karri Ramo allowed 4 goals on 27 shots in the loss and his season record (13-14-0) now falls under .500 for the first time since October. Norm Milley led the Falcons with 1 goal and 1 assist while Daniel Corso had 2 assists. Eric Healey and Andre Deveaux had the other Falcons goals and Doug O'Brien, Adam Henrich and Andy Delmore had individual helpers. Milley was named third star of the game.

Instead of leapfrogging Portland into 5th in the division and keeping pace 4 points back of the final Atlantic Division playoff spot, the Falcons have dropped 6 points out of the playoffs and just 1 point out of the Atlantic Division basement. Tonight's game was the first of a five game spot in the schedule where Springfield looked to have some winnable games, but the third period collapse against Lowell seems an ominous sign.
