Packard Reassigned to Johnstown

Game Day 3/5: Falcons at Pirates

With Tarnasky and Reid headed to join the big club the Falcons had to play this game a man short. Gerald Coleman was hung out to dry allowing 6 goals on 37 shots faced. The Falcons were outshot 37 to 21 for the game. Doug O'Brien had a goal assisted by the Czech/Slovak connection Blatny and Kvapil. Reemerging from the wilderness, David Spina also scored his 8th of the season in garbage time.

CHL Tonight: 3/5

Stan Lascek assisted on a Maxime Boisclair empty net goal and Chicoutimi beat Baie-Comeau 4-2.
OHL
Radek Smolenak scored his 36th goal of the season and added an assist, but Kingston fell 5-4 in overtime to London.
Despite Chris Lawrence's 20th goal of the season, Brampton spanked Mississauga 6-3.
Goaltender Kevin Beech got the day off as Sudbury defeated Oshawa 4-3
WHL
Despite a Blair Jones assist, Moose Jaw lost a squeaker to Regina 4-3.
Justin Keller had 1 assist and was +1, but Kelowna was beaten handily by Everett 4-1.

Reid and Tarnasky Recalled
Submitted by pete on March 5, 2006 - 14:30ESPN is reporting C Nick Tarnasky and RW Darren Reid have been recalled from Springfield of the AHL. Tarnasky scored a hat trick last night including the overtime game winning goal against Bridgeport while Reid has been one of Springfield's best players over the past month.

There were no Lightning prospects in action in the QMJHL tonight.
OHL
Kevin Beech stopped 34 of 37 shots faced before beating Trevor Cann in the shootout as Sudbury bested Peterborough 4-3.
Marek Bartanus remained out of the lineup while Mike Angelidis scored 4 goals in Owen Sound's 6-2 beat down of Guelph.
WHL
Blair Jones had three assists as Moose Jaw came back from a 4-1 deficit to beat Regina 5-4. Jones was named first star of the game.
Justin Keller was held scoreless as Kelowna fell to Portland 2-1.
Vladimir Mihalik was scoreless with 2 PIMs as Red Deer lost on penalty shots 6-5 to Swift Current.
