Dimitri Kazionov scored his 9th goal of the season in Kazan's 3-1 win over SKA. Anton But was scoreless for St. Petersburg.

Vasily Koshechkin found goal support in short supply as he allowed just 1 goal but still saw his Togliatti club fall to Omsk 2-0. Koshechkin slips to 14-11-4 this year with the loss.

Evgeny Artyukhin was scoreless in Yaroslavl's 3-0 win over Magnitogorsk.

Alexei Glukhov had an assist in Cherepovets' 4-3 win against Khimik

The Eastern Conference YoungStars defeated their Western Conference counterparts 9-8 tonight. Lightning defenseman and Bolt Prospects alumni Paul Ranger did well in the game with 1 goal and 2 assists. Ranger was +1 with 1 shot on goal in 10:42 of ice time.

Andreas Holmqvist has 2 penalty minutes today in Linkopings' 5-2 loss to Farjestads. The loss drops Linkopings 1 game under .500 for the season in 6th place in the Elitserien.

CHL Game Night: 1/21

Marek Bartanus's cold streak continued Sunday, as the winger failed to hit the scoresheet for Owen Sound in the Attack's 3-2 home win over Saginaw. Bartanus has not registered a point in nine straight games. Since his four assist game on November 3 (23 games ago), Bartanus has only one goal (11/22/06) and one assist (12/06/06). This, after he started the year with points in five straight games and in eight of his first ten.

The Erie Otters won for the second time in three games (a huge accomplishment for the Otters), beating the Storm in Guelph, 6-5 in a shootout. Kevin Beech was back in net for the Otters, stopping 47 of 52 shots in regulation and 1 of 2 shootout attempts. In six games with Erie, Beech has a 2-1-1 record with a GAA of 4.32 and a save percentage of .886.

The Everett Silvertips got the better of their rivals, the Vancouver Giants, for the fourth time this year, winning 6-5 in a shootout. Dane Crowley missed his second consecutive game for the Tips with the flu. Everett (36-7-0-2) is now 4-0 this season against Vancouver (30-10-3-5), the team that swept the Tips out of the playoffs last season. Though Everett is 4-0, two games were won in shootouts and one in overtime.
