CSS Midterms Are Out

The NHL Central Scouting Bureau has released their Midterm Rankings for the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. Three US based players top the North American rankings:

Linkopings Loses at the Last Second

Mike Watt scored the game winning goal with just 1 second remaining on the clock today as Leksands defeated Linkopings 3-2. Fredrik Norrena stopped 22 of 25 shots faced in the loss. His record drops to 16-8-5 on the season.

Lawrence Nets Game-Winner for Mississauga

Chris Lawrence scored a power play goal half-way through the third period to lead the Mississauga Ice Dogs to a 3-2 win over Erie Wednesday night. The goal was Lawrence's seventh of the year and was his 10th point in 11 games with the Ice Dogs since being traded from Sault Ste. Marie. Lawrence was named the game's first star.

Game Night 1/11: Bombers at Chiefs

The Chiefs marshalled an incredibly come from behind victory from three goals down tonight to complete a very successful four game set against the Dayton Bombers. DAY-3 JHN-4 Jonathan Boutin stopped 31 of 34 in the victory. Justin Kelly scored the final of four unanswered goals to secure the victory and added an assist in the rally. Dimitri Tarabrin led the charge with 2 goals while, among Lightning prospects, Brady Greco and Gerard Dicaire had helpers in the contest. Johnstown moves within 2 points of the Toledo Storm for 3rd place in the North Division. They claimed 7 of a possible 8 points against the Bombers within the last week. Game Night 1/11: Bears at Falcons

Well, at least Coleman allowed less than four goals tonight. And that's something isn't it? Isn't it? HER-3 SPR-0 Gerald Coleman stopped 25 of 28 shots faced in the loss. In front of him tonight, the Falcons only managed a meager 22 shots on goal. Six of those shots came from Todd Rohloff (now wearing the "C") and Harlan Pratt. Callups have depleted the Falcons forward ranks and reduced them to, essentially, a one line team at this point, and Zbynek Hrdel's return to the lineup tonight did little to change that.
