An unfortunate end to a very nice comeback. TB-4 DET-5 (OT) The Lightning erased a 2 goal deficit in the final 5 minutes of regulation before falling in OT. Vincent Lecavalier led the way with a hat trick scoring an even strength goal, a short handed goal and capping the Lightning comeback with a power play goal. The Lightning's other goal was scored by overage prospect Eric Perrin. Individual assists went to Vaclav Prospal, Doug Janik, Ryan Craig, Nikita Alexeev, Martin St. Louis and Brad Richards. Johan Holmqvist had a rough reintroduction to North America allowing 5 goals on 26 shots (that's more of a Johan Grahame stat line). Box score courtesy NHL.com. Among prospects, Doug Janik was -1 in 19:10 with 2 blocked shots. According to the Johnstown Tribune-Democrat, forward Randy Rowe will decide on his immediate future this week. Rowe is in talks with as many as five NHL teams, including the Lightning. Rowe was under contract with Springfield last year, though he spent all but four games in Johnstown where, despite contending with an abdomen problem and a near season-ending neck injury, he still scored 28 goals and 43 points in 45 regular-season games with the Chiefs. He also had two goals and four points in five playoff games. “I’m definitely thinking about Tampa-Springfield-Johnstown again,†Rowe told the Tribune-Democrat. “There was just a lot of talking with teams,†he said. “I’m not getting any younger. I just want to make sure I’m in the right place to get called up to an AHL team. Camps are starting Saturday and Sunday in the AHL. It’s one of those things that it’s your future and you’ve got to make sure you make the right decision.â€
