Glukhov Goes Multi-Point In Tie With Omsk

Alexei Glukhov assisted on goals by Alexei Shkotov and Ales Pisa today as Khimik tied Omsk 3-3 in Superleague action. Glukhov has 1 goals and 15 points in 36 games this season. Anton But recorded an assist as Ufa downed Yaroslavl 5-3. But's torrid scoring pace has made him one of the Superleague's top-10 scorers this season. Vasily Koshechkin allowed three goals before being pulled prior to an empty net goal as Dynamo defeated Togliatti 4-2. Koshechkin is now 14-10-4 on the season.

Ramo Drops to .500

Karri Ramo seems to have regained the top spot for HPK, that's the good news. The bad news is that today, in the second of back-to-back starts, Ramo fell to 5-5-3 as HIFK scored 2 third period goals to defeat HPK 3-2. Ramo stopped 25 of 28 in the loss.

Change of Scenery Suiting Chris Lawrence

Lightning prospect RW/C Chris Lawrence [url=http://www.ontariohockeyleague.com/stats/game-summary.php?game_id=11954]scored a hat trick tonight, including the overtime game winning goal, in a wild 7-6 victory over Brampton.[/url] Since being traded to Missisauga from Sault Ste Marie a month ago, Lawrence has 8 goals and 15 points in 14 games. Last season he had just 11 goals [i]all season[/i]. Lawrence, who was selected by the Lightning in the 3rd round of last summer's draft, has received criticism for much of his junior career for lack of intensity and failure to live up to his potential. Perhaps, under the tutledge of head coach Gred Gilbert, Lawrence is finally starting to break through.

Boutin/ECHL All-Stars on OLN

[/url] The game will feature Lightning prospect Jonathan Boutin of the Johnstown Chiefs. Boutin is currently third in the ECHL with a .923 save percentage. His record stands at 8-8-0-2 on the season with a 2.82 GAA and 2 shutouts.

Norrena Makes Early Exit in Linkopings Defeat

Goaltender Fredrik Norrena was pulled today with 2:07 remaining in the second period as Linkopings fell to Brynas 3-1. Norrena allowed 2 goals in the loss before giving way to backup Jonas Fransson. The netminder's record drops to 17-9-5 on the season.
