Johnstown gets a critical victory.

Morgan Cey only had to stop 14 shots in the game as Johnstown's defense had perhaps its best night of the season. Dimitri Tarabrin had a strong 2 goal and 2 assist night while Grant Jacobsen added 2 goals and 1 assist. Geoff Waugh had the other Chiefs goal and added an assist. Jean Desrochers and Andrew Martens each had a pair of helpers and Gus Katsuras and Maxime Boisclair chipped in individual assists.

The Johnstown win, coupled with a Toledo loss, puts the Chiefs just 1 point out of a playoff spot.

Morgan Cey allowed 4 goals on 35 shots before insult was piled upon injury and Mark Pandolfo added a shorthanded penalty shot goal with 3 seconds left in the third period. Bryan Nathe and Dimitri Tarabrin had Johnstown's goals. Individual assists went to Zbynek Hrdel, Maxime Boisclair and Jean Desrochers.

Trenton vaults into 3rd place in the North Division with the win while Johnstown remains 3 points out of a playoff spot with Toledo holding two games in hand.

Johnstown finds a little redemption at the end of a hard weekend.

Morgan Cey stopped 33 of 34 shots faced in the win. Forwards Maxime Boisclair and Zbynek Hrdel led the way offensively with 1 goal and 1 assist. Eric Przepiorka had the other Chiefs goal. Gus Katsuras, Andrew Martens, Ryan Gibbons and Brandon Elliot posted individual assists. Cey, Boisclair and Katsuras were named the game's three stars. Cey carried a shutout into the final two minutes of the game only to surrender a late power play goal.

The Chiefs were outshot 51-37 in the game. Grant Jacobsen and Brandon Elliot had the Johnstown goals. Ryan Gibbons, Geoff Waugh, Dimitri Tarabrin and Gus Katsuras had individual assists. Katsuras and Jacobsen also scored in Johnstown's unsuccessful shootout bid.

Roster upheval leads to a critical loss.

Morgan Cey allowed 4 goals on 31 shots in the loss. Randy Rowe had the only Chiefs goal off assists from Geoff Waugh and Dimitri Tarabrin. Johnstown's loss puts them three points behind Dayton for the final playoff spot in the North Division. And, with the Falcons recently calling up two of the team's scoring liners and now having their two highest scoring defensemen in Springfield, things look like the could get a little bleak.
